When are you coming to So. Cal? Coach House, Spaghettini’s, Catalina Club, Lighthouse Café…any place sir! I will be there with my son who took up the flute after listening to Flutation and Higher Calling.
I’ve always been into alot of different music. I met Dwayne and his lovely family at a Christian Fellowship in Long Island around 1995. He never mentioned anything about being in Erykah Badu’s band. Recently I had access to a friend’s computer and went to the website:christianoutreachfellowships.org and hit links and found the most Wonderful sounding flute and was totally AMAZED and loved “Flutation” If you think he plays great; which undeniably he does with such passion. You should hear him teach “THE WORD OF GOD” which he did last Sun. 3/17/13. What a humble man he is!!
Best flautist I’ve ever heard – great improv lines around really unusual progressions in background and with some seemingly choral sounds – mostly for a first time hearer its mesmerizing – will be buying all your stuff – waiting for a the anticipated progression and it goes off on a beautiful tangent with your interweaving line never having a dissonant note – most creative smooth sounds I’ve ever heard. Thanks !!
I first heard and FELLLLLLLLL straight in love with, “SMOOTH”!!!!! a week ago—I had to step back and take a look at who they were playin’…i thought Dwayne Kerr? Who is this brutha? KEWL ain’t even IT! this is STRAIGHT MADNESS on the flute! FRESH! I have been playin’ his jamz….over and over and over and over and OVER! I thought ok…I have a “NEW FRIEND”now added to my collection! I just NEED to know when are you coming to Dallas? (lol) I hope VERY SOON! I luv that neo/hip*hop/soul/s-jazz flava that he’s spinnin’—love the riffs brutha~

I play the flute since 16 years old, now I’m 53years old. I play for GOD in the church.
So far this man is the best flutist I ever heard in the world.
Dwayne you have the talent from Higher Calling you know what I’m talking about.
Don’t miss the chance.
You my best.
Caught your version of “Ain’t No Sunshine” on Music Choice TV. Bopping along doing stuff around the house, I stopped, RAN back into the living room, and my mouth opened wider and wider as I stood there and jammed. Your playing reminds me of the way Everette Harp approaches the sax; SO open, expansive, expressive…I PLAN to buy your music and would LOVE to hear more!

Hi Dwayne Keer:
It s been a while since you played in my clubs Butlers Quarters and Vinnies Place in Hempstead. I have been following your career with great interest. Have both of your CD’s. Looking forward to seeing you February 13, 2010 at the Ling Island Winter fest/Jazz at Clovis Pint Winery. Best regards Vinnie
Hello Dwayne! Hope all is well with you and the family. I’m keeping an eye on your tour dates, hoping your coming to the state of Florida at some point. My family keeps asking, “when are we going to see Dwayne play”. So I have to make it happen. Your music takes me to another place. Love what you do, keep doing what you do! Peace
Hey Dwayne, I played in the band with you at C.I. High. I seen you perform at the Apollo a few years ago with Erykah Badu. Congrats on your success. I talk to your brother Art all the time. Keep up the good work.
I was doing some cleaning around the house while listening to the smooth jazz station on the cable box and couldn’t believe the sounds coming from the flute. I’m so glad that someone has decided to bring some more raw flavor to the sound of the flute and change the common belief that people have that a flute only can sound pretty and soft. Being a flutist myself I was inspired to take my flute back out right after I ordered the CD.
